Sportsbook PointsBet has signed golfing social media star Paige Spiranac to become the company’s on-air talent.
Spiranac is the darling of golf fans, with nearly three million Instagram and 400,000 Twitter followers enjoying her game tips and lifestyle videos.
She is a former professional player, so not just a cliched “pretty face”. But she has attracted online trolls accusing her of flaunting her natural beauty for marketing bucks.
PointsBet recognised the value she will bring to its marketing operations as online sports betting becomes legal in ever more US states. The company has joined new operators in Michigan, for example.

Showing commitment to the deal, Spiranac has taken an equity stake in PointsBet. She is expected to assist in developing and then front content, including weekly sports betting education and commentary, host events, front watch parties and more.
Spiranac, who lives in Arizona in the US but has a large UK fanbase, said: “I believe that sports betting is central to how fans will engage and consume live sports moving forward.
“I love connecting with my community on social media and I know this category will be a fun, new way to get my audience more involved with not only golf but all sports. I truly believe in what we’re building at PointsBet and I’m thrilled to be a part of this team.”
It is not known if the company will look at special golf odds for the Masters.
