Come on, admit it. You made some “tasty” football outright betting predictions before the season started that now look “hasty”.
With the season well underway, your outright bets for Premier League winners, or who will top the Championship, League One and League Two, look off the pace.
Things can change fast, of course. So, you could sit back and hope that Norwich City will go on an amazing run and top the league (LOLs), or you could simply make some additional bets that will mitigate your pre-season mistakes.
With some teams doing worse than expected – big-spending Ipswich Town (see Portman Road image above), are currently fourth from bottom, without a win – others are outperforming. Who had Spurs to win the Premiership, or West Ham to finish top three?
Outright betting markets shift all the time, so now is the time to add some more football bets. Take a look at your current bookie’s odds, but better still, try out a new sports betting site, claim the welcome bonus, which may well be a free bet, and use that to make a new outright betting prediction on the league of your choice.
Take William Hill as an example. Right now, you can get Manchester United at 5/1 to win the Premier League, which seems far better value than rivals Manchester City at 5/4.
And despite Tottenham’s 100% start, the North Londoners are still 33/1 – sign up at William Hill to take advantage of that.
Meanwhile, in the Championship, many punters will have backed Sheffield United to make an instant return to the Premier League. But, after five winless games, the Blades sit second from bottom.
Outright betting
Time to make a new outright betting prediction on the toughest league around. Perhaps QPR, who have made a bright start under Mark Warburton, have caught your eye? Sign up with 888 Sport where you can get Rangers at 15/1 to win the league.
League One looks a difficult league to get out of this season. Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland, Portsmouth, Wycombe and Wigan will all fancy topping the division.
A lot of money went on the Tractor Boys, under wealthy new American ownership, but the start under Paul Cook has been disappointing.
Many still fancy Ipswich to turn things around because, once their new side clicks, they could take some stopping.
The dodgy start means you can get some good odds. If you sign up with Mansion Bet, you’ll get Ipswich Town at 12/1 to win League One.
More outright betting opportunities
With the season only a month old, there are lots of teams seemingly at the wrong end of the table.
Now is your chance to sign up to a new football betting site and take advantage of those changing football outright betting odds.
